Opening Weekend
This high-octane, pedal-to-the-floor weekend features new works by Chicago’s best choreographers and ensembles. See ballet, tap, urban, Irish, character, jazz and contemporary works all weaved in to one exhilarating night of dance. Special guests  this year include the Dance Chicago premiers of the great Moscow Ballet, Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, New York’s Ajkun Ballet Theatre, and South Korea’s Kim Geung-soo Ballet Company, as well as the polished works of Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, LehrerDance New York, World Champion Trinity Irish Dancers, Concert Dance Inc. and other unexpected surprises.

Dance For Kids, Too!
This isn’t just for the kids, but the entire family! Dances are quick, clever, fun and provide styles for all to enjoy. Dance Slam
It’s an interactive dance competition with a non-stop beat! Each work is five minutes or less and the audience votes for the winners! Every night features different performances from young up-and-coming dancers from all around Chicago! FAST AND FURIOUS!

Extended View: Tap/Jazz/Hip Hop
For years, award-winning Chicago choreographers have been creating dances audiences love.  Now they put it together on one magical night for one magical extended view. This year’s focus is hip hop, jazz and tap dance. The evening is curated by industry notables, Bril Barrett and Suave. This high-energy show is titled MADD ConnXions!

For the first time in Chicago, we are showcasing the hottest urban talent from around our city. Chicago Streets explores urban dancing. Choreographers’ Showcase  NEW IN 2008! 
Dance Chicago produces great choreographers and this year is more exciting than ever. Most of the work has not been seen anywhere before and these artists are just waiting for you to be moved by it.  The Cliff Dwellers Arts Foundation Dance Chicago 2008 Choreographer of the Year will be on the program.
